The students of VI and VII std were taken to a farm house near Mamandur on 23rd July 2013. Mr. Razeed, an Agricultural officer gave a speech about Agriculture, natural composting and house garden. In the farm house, students collected different types of leaves from the trees. They were also briefed about the the uses of different plants and their uses. The students enjoyed the trip.

Programme Name : Inventura Club Inaugration – Vana mahotsav

The Inventura Club was inaugurated by celebrating Vana Mahotsav On 28th June 2013. It was organized in the forest near the court by the Development of Forest Dept., Chengalpattu. It began with the ceremonial Plantation of saplings by our Principal Smt. Lakshmi Prabha and the students also followed her and planted some saplings.

The Forest Ranger Mr. Selvam delivered the valuable message and appealed to everybody to plant at least one tree and to care of it. And also he explained the process of making Vermicompost. The students learnt how to love the trees and what are the means of protecting them.

The DF Dept. arranged the Power Point Presentation which depicted the variety of tress, their uses and the way of protection. It gave the clear picture of profit which the world gets. This Audio Visual created the awareness among the students to save the trees and forests. They gained a different and remarkable experience in this celebration.
